Privacy policy

The short version: I collect as little as possible, I don't run ads, and I never sell your data. Here's the full picture — what's collected, why, who processes it, and the rights you have over it.

Last updated: 8 August 2026.

This site, www.kajolphadnis.com, is run by Kajol Phadnis ("I", "me"). For anything related to your data, contact me at hello@kajolphadnis.com.

What I collect, and when

If you just browse: nothing personally identifying, unless you accept analytics cookies (see the cookies section below). The site's host (Vercel) keeps standard server logs, and Vercel's privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics counts page visits in aggregate.

If you send an enquiry via the contact form: your name, email address, company (optional), and message. This is delivered to my inbox via Web3Forms, a form-delivery service, and I use it solely to reply to you.

If you join the newsletter or request a quiz action plan: your email address — and, for the diagnostics, which result you got (e.g. your "stuck type"), so the follow-up emails are relevant. This is stored with Kit (formerly ConvertKit), my email platform. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from future sends.

If you accept analytics cookies: Google Analytics collects usage data — pages visited, approximate location (country/city level), device type, and how you interact with things like the quizzes. I use this to understand what content is useful. If you decline, Google Analytics receives only anonymous, cookieless signals that can't be tied to you.

Cookies and similar storage

The cookie banner you see on your first visit controls all non-essential cookies. Specifically:

You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's cookies and site data in your browser settings — the banner will reappear on your next visit.

Embedded content and third-party services

In building and running the site I rely on a small number of processors, each of which only receives what it needs to do its job:

Some of these providers process data in the United States. Where that happens, transfers rely on the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses, per each provider's published terms.

Why I'm allowed to process this (legal bases)

How long I keep things

Contact-form enquiries stay in my email for as long as needed to handle the conversation. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Google Analytics data is retained per its standard rolling retention period, after which it's deleted automatically.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask me to: tell you what data I hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how it's used, export it, or stop processing it. Email hello@kajolphadnis.com and I'll respond within a month. If you're not happy with how I handle your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator.

Changes to this policy

If how the site handles data changes materially, this page will be updated and the date at the top revised.
